This morning’s bakery run is to Northern Rye’s new bakehouse on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Est, perfect as a stop for anyone heading to the Ferry…

I'm getting ready to sell my 2019 H2 SX SE so spent the afternoon with a bucket and sponge washing the Pyrenees off. She still scrubs up well.

Cool bike for a sports tourer those! Shame the exhaust looks flaccid and needs a bit more angle to match the lines of the bike and rim tape yuck (that may be factory though?!)

Rim tape is factory fitted. Exhaust needs to stay low for the panniers to fit.

But it would look better more up-swept.

lol the rain was crazy up there today. Unbelievable how quick it dried up. We done a runner after the super stock race as it got dark as hell again.

Indian shindig in Budweis, Czech.

Mine is the blue one wink

And out of maybe 3000 bikes (so I was told) a 5445km journey out wins me the Iron Butt award smile. (And only 9 years short of the guy that won the oldest rider).

I’m not usually in the habit of winning things, so a very pleasant surprise. Heading home tomorrow, was plotting the 1000km to Amsterdam in a single sitting, but thinking now to make a stop half way. I’ll see what the weather’s like.

Just picked this up in the week and first ride to work today. Had a 2024 K1600GT oil tanker for a few months and did 4000 miles on it so had to hand it back. My third CB1000R now - was like getting back on a Raleigh Grifter!

It's the plus model, so has quick shifter etc... Lovely day for it now I'm in work all day...

Lovely bikes those CB1000Rs. I'm thinking about having one alongside the SAS.

Speaking of which, nice ride to Southport today with all my friends (!)

Nice new bike, congrats. Pretty sure it's a lot lighter than the old Raleigh Grifter though....

Thanks for the kind comments. I had a 2019 1290 SAS 5 years ago. My local dealer has a few in at just over 15K. That's a bargain. Reason I got the CB is they are really well priced compared to most. 145bhp is more than enough on the road.

Had a go on the original CB1000R, lovely engine. Think it was a 2015 model. That triangle at the back of the seat bit pissed me off though so no dice.
