Had this out on test for a couple of hours today. It’s the full carbon version, including wheels. 201bhp and 28 of your finest thousands of pounds. Unfortunately I rather liked it….

Took the big k1600 through London last night, traffic was pretty light but got busy around Stamford bridge with a football match ending, it coped pretty well, I wouldn't want to do it in rush hour but apart from not being able to get to the front at traffic lights I could make better progress than I was expecting.
Why does this remind me of some kind of Batman poster?

Interesting, I took the M1000R out for a test ride last year and returned it 20 minutes later, I couldn’t wait to get of the thing.

It would be interesting to ride the XR version to see if they have improved the vibes any on it.

So BMW have adopted the Suzuki Squid anodised tat crown....

Might be a nice ride but it looks gash I'm afraid... won't age well at all. And for 28GBP eek

Still, when Ze Chermans idea of stylish attire is white socks, sandals and a mullet, I guess we shouldn't be surprised hehe

That was my only negative comment - above 25mph the mirrors (this one had the bar-end mirrors) were useless. And you definitely need working mirrors on this! Strangely tho I didn't feel any vibes myself through the bars.

What an absolutely fabulous museum. Planes, cars, bikes, tanks, race cars, drag cars, trains…you name it, they had it. I’m not often gobsmacked but I was with this places. I’ve been to loads of automotive, air and military museums but this beat the lot with the sheer range of stuff on display.

I could spam the forum with all sorts of photos but just google the Sinsheim museum - incredible collection. And yes, you can get on all the planes on the roof up spiral stairs. For me a bit scary as I’m not great with heights and you could feel them move in the wind eek

Still trying to pick my jaw off the floor.

OK - here’s a few tasters…

And of course a 1947 Chief. The best year smile

To one of these....

and OMG!! what a difference! It now feels like the bike it should have been from the factory. Starts easier, the throttle response at lower revs is unrecognisable, the idle is smoother, power delivery is more linear, but best of all it feels predictable, and biggest place I've noticed that is through the corners. It is just so much more planted and the weight is exactly where you expect it to be instead of occasionally being unsettled when the bike was hunting. Wish I'd done it 10 years ago when I bought the damm thing. hehe
Hi Condi, I had a 929RR1 for about a decade and experienced much the same. The stuttering at low revs an surging through the lower mid-range was awful. Make sure you get some dyno time to fine tune the PC3.

But do you know what made even more of a difference? It was going down one tooth on the front cog. Thoroughly recommend you do this in conjunction with the PC3.
Did both of these things to a 954 and it was a significant improvement along with a steering damper as it liked to shake its head. Never really got on with the thing though tbh, my old carbed R1 was buttery smooth and even with the PC3 the 954 was still too choppy for my liking.
+1 for getting it set up on a dyno, crescent suzuki did mine about 20 years ago (Wow....where does the time go) .
Still have the bike, I really need to dig it out sometime.

I've still not made it down to there, always seem to run out of time or completely forget to venture to the Calf.
We even went to Cregneash and somehow forgot all about the Calf...............

Maybe get down there during the Manx

Great pics. I went to an air museum in Colorado recently, amazing place. It was really surprising how big an F14 is in the metal.

Just got back from Germany. Will do a separate post as it was (for me) THAT good of a trip

21,500 miles and clutch started to go. Done well given the abuse I give it with 2nd/3rd gear wheelies, santa pod etc

Took my 7r to work today for an MOT locally, somehow it swallowed 7.5 litres of super unleaded in 28 miles and then wouldn't run when I went to take it for the MOT.
It's massively modified airbox/fuelling/ignition wise so it's always difficult to get it running nice for road use and I last rode it on track so had left the carbs setup for that.
Left it at work annoyed with it but I'll always forgive it when it looks like that!!

I would have thought the carbs should be setup largely the same for Road and track wouldnt they? Obviously track you only focus on wide open throttle but I would have thought a good rolling road would get it all about right?

Lovely looking bike
