The one nearest the camera looks like it's been in a smash with that wheelbase! I know it's just the camera angle/effect but it looks a bit too short haha! I was gonna use this one but it never had a seagull in it, I felt like it was my new bin moment.

Took this out for a test ride today. I've never ridden a cp3 engined bike and all the journalists and influencers like to go on about how it's such a good engine, having owned a 765rs and loving the engine I was expecting the same with more torque but it just felt flat to me. Didn't sound good, has no top end, felt like I was short shifting at the redline, wasn't that powerful and didn't have the torque I was expecting. Coming off third gear corners with part throttle and accelerating the response was so muted even in sport mode. Maybe it's something to do with it not being run in but it wasn't for me. Rest of the bike is nice though quickshifter blipper was excellent. Handles really nicely in flowing roads, looks great. The riding position is more aggressive than it looks because the bars are quite high but quite far forward but nothing too bad. Disappointed but it means I'm not tempted to shell out the £12.5k for it

and OMG!! what a difference! It now feels like the bike it should have been from the factory. Starts easier, the throttle response at lower revs is unrecognisable, the idle is smoother, power delivery is more linear, but best of all it feels predictable, and biggest place I've noticed that is through the corners. It is just so much more planted and the weight is exactly where you expect it to be instead of occasionally being unsettled when the bike was hunting. Wish I'd done it 10 years ago when I bought the damm thing.![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
Hi Condi, I had a 929RR1 for about a decade and experienced much the same. The stuttering at low revs an surging through the lower mid-range was awful. Make sure you get some dyno time to fine tune the PC3.To one of these....

But do you know what made even more of a difference? It was going down one tooth on the front cog. Thoroughly recommend you do this in conjunction with the PC3.
Dug the old K3 SV650S out of the garage yesterday as a friend has enquired about buying it, its been sitting since I bought my Speedy in August 2021.
Its been under a cover but its still pretty dusty and theres some 'wormy' corrosion bubbling up under the coating on the frame but it looks good otherwise. Chuck a half charged battery on it, pull the plug leads off and crank for a few seconds to get the (old) oil moving. Refitted the plug leads and it fired and idled straight away! I know its FI and that shouldn't really be a surprise but it definitely was.
Aaaaand now I don't want to sell it, it won't really be worth anything and is quite sentimental as it was my first bike. But I did nothing with it in three years and I'm thinking of giving up bikes so it will have to go at some point. Ho Hum.

Did about 170 miles yesterday on my old CBF500 whilst waiting for the V Stroms brake disc to be delivered from Japan (don't ride off with the disc lock on......).
Chirst alive it felt bloody awful for the first 20 or so miles. Felt like the front was immeserably heavy compared to the Suzuki. Will have to get used to that again.
Almost had two head on crashes with some old duffers on shiny new GS' who didn't feel their side of the road was appropriate for a blind bend.....

Took the big k1600 through London last night, traffic was pretty light but got busy around Stamford bridge with a football match ending, it coped pretty well, I wouldn't want to do it in rush hour but apart from not being able to get to the front at traffic lights I could make better progress than I was expecting.
