MT10 is still off the road waiting for a oil seal so had to use one of the 2 strokes.

A mate followed me back on his KTM. Done just over 100 miles since the Fizzy was fixed.

I take it no lip on the seal so its a straightforward replacement mate?
Yes Bryan, there is a small amount of damage to the face but it'll clean up, the seal was ordered last Saturday but still hadn't turned up at close of play yesterday.

I had to leave it at the dealers because it was leaking quite badly.

Wouldnt mind a FS1E in the garage as well, proudly wearing its Allspeed 👌

and OMG!! what a difference! It now feels like the bike it should have been from the factory. Starts easier, the throttle response at lower revs is unrecognisable, the idle is smoother, power delivery is more linear, but best of all it feels predictable, and biggest place I've noticed that is through the corners. It is just so much more planted and the weight is exactly where you expect it to be instead of occasionally being unsettled when the bike was hunting. Wish I'd done it 10 years ago when I bought the damm thing. hehe
Hi Condi, I had a 929RR1 for about a decade and experienced much the same. The stuttering at low revs an surging through the lower mid-range was awful. Make sure you get some dyno time to fine tune the PC3.

But do you know what made even more of a difference? It was going down one tooth on the front cog. Thoroughly recommend you do this in conjunction with the PC3.

Just nipped out for some bread and ended up a run thru Stannington to where the St Mary’s hospital used to be, this place looks nice for Sunday Lunch

Interesting, thank you, I will have a look at the front cog when the chain and sprockets are up for replacement. Why did you think it needs higher gearing? The difference between stock and with the PC is so massive I haven't considered getting it on the dyno. Any gains from here are incremental.

No problem. Lowering the gearing made it a lot more tractable at lower speeds (feels like you aren't wasting that lower bit of the rev range), it also got rid of a lot of that hesitation. I didn't feel it got buzzy at all as a result. Such a cheap mod too and worth giving it a shot at new C&S time. It will feel like a new bike again!

I did the PC3 in conjunction with an Akro can and set-up on dyno, so it might not make as much of a difference with your bike.

Ah, you did it all at once. The map I have is for the correct end can/exhaust/air filter combination so I suspect any gains are going to be minimal, but there is a place up the road which will dyno and tune it for a reasonable price.

I was pootling around a dealer at the weekend, and had a look at the Mandello. Holy! This livery with the silver and gold (Italian Air Force) is just stunning in the metal, pictures don't do it justice. And with the gold wheels and single sided swingarm, oh boy, what a gorgeous bike.

I couldn't get a decent pic due to other bikes in the way. But I just couldn't stop looking at all the details. I mean look at the engine casing, it's a work of art. If I was in the market for a sport tourer, I'd have one in an instant.

I headed there on a ride out with one of the Ariel groups on Saturday. The Spitfire had regular trips going around lunchtime. The Mustang eventually went up, unfortunately I missed it as was in the queue for the cafe. I'd not been there before but it was a decent stop and cafe with a few other things on the site to visit.

thank you...Had another great eve with it tonight.

the old girl made 51RWHP on the RGS Wellingboro dyno, its slightly changed from stock but thats a great figure for an LC.

I can recommend the evening anyway, normally there is a stunt show on at some stage as well but we was spared that, great variety of bikes and a decent food van.

Thanks. I was wondering if the Mustang had a Merlin. Interesting it was shipped to Britain on D-Day.

I had to kill a few hours today and read a couple of articles about D-Day in the Daily Mail including two pages on Graignes and another about Chinese officers getting to the UK to observe D-Day.
