I loved it - had to take out more runs and their spacing meant that I didn't get to see many of the talks, I might actually pay next year to get more time

I test rode an FTR 1200 and was very disappointed - how do they make a 1200cc V Twin with no bottom end - anyone who thinks that's a hooligan bike should try a 990sm

Haven't ridden a two stroke for 10+ years so decided to test a 250 and 300 gas gas. Fantastic on an Enduro but too frantic for 8 hours trail riding. They felt like kids toys after riding the 990 all weekend, biggest shock was how good the brakes were

Then I got on a KTM 890r felt a lot more modern and better screwed together than the 990, again the biggest shock was the brakes

I think my brakes need a rebuild biggrin

I went searching for Polaris quads and buggies and eventually discovered that they'd canceled at the last minute so despite being on the map they weren't there frown

I took my 990 adventure on the trail first - I've never ridden a big bike off-road before and shocked myself by absolutely loving it, sideways everywhere

I took the 701 out next, didn't like it as much and it stayed in the van the rest of the weekend

Toilets and showers weren't up to previous years and the queues leaving were ridiculous - luckily I wasn't in them, I made the most of the empty track biggrin

I'll be back !

You'll love it, there were quite a lot of tyre stands there too, so plenty to talk about laugh

I've already booked my tickets too.

Is there an early discount, tent wise it's civilised etc? I might go just for the day. Take the wife or son on the back.

There's an early bird discount and an loyalty discount

See if you can find the loyalty discount, people who went this year will now have it

(I haven't because I got my tickets free)

You need to be aware that the Trail is an extra cost - and well worth it if you like 30km of easy off-road

Music turns off at 11:00 and it's generally pretty quiet after that. Fairly civilized as most people are over 50 biggrin
