Is that the German version now Audi have taken over smile

I’m really wanting a 1200R to sit next to my Scrambler 800.

I would have one eye on how you move on from whatever you get first. First few weeks and months of riding are an eye opener, even during the DAS course. Greatly changed my thoughts on what I wanted in terms of bike and kit. Don't pay over the odds or get financed up to the eyes.

So bought a 2019 gsxr125 aswell as my riding gear, cbt is on Tuesday, the earliest I could do the DAS is end of august.

So I’ll have between the cbt and das as extra practice I guess.

I practised on a 125cc like you are doing OP and I recommend it. It helped me learn a lot and I passed with relatively easily - I think having thousands of extra miles experience helps.

It also opened my eyes to how good a 125 is for commuting! The running costs are so low and you slip straight through traffic. Enjoy :-)

Just get the bike you want, treat it with respect and you'll be fine. I had an MT07 for a couple of weeks after passing my test then swapped for a Street Triple 765 RS as I got an unbelievable deal on it. Did over 12k miles in 18 months on that bike without incident, including taking it it Germany for a week.

Enjoy the process of learning to ride, it's a great thing to do.

I had a 125 for 12 months to get some riding experience then got a CBR 600. It’s a fair bit quicker than the 125 of course but I just ride to my limits. At 44 I’m an older / newer rider so I just want to enjoy it rather than being Valentino Rossi!

The CBR is nippy when I want to be but otherwise fine for riding along.

Got my CBT today, just got back from a ride on mine.

I will say thankfully I prefer the position of my gsxr to the upright feel I had on the ys125 I had for the cbt
