Changing to fully synthetic oil.
Discussion
Hi,
I have a problem with my BMW.
My garage can accomodate two cars on a moving ramp mechanism. You can move the ramp up or down to get either car out.
I didn't move the ramp or any cars for two days with the ramp fully down. So the bottom car was sitting nose up in the air and boot facing down at about a 15 degree angle.
When I started the car I thought it was really really broken. It made a loud clanging noise and ran really rough until I got it out onto the level. When it warmed up it was fine. Phew!!!!
Does anyone think that the angle of the car in the garage is the cause? I thought that all the oil is in one side of the engine and takes time to circulate??? Normally I use this car everyday and never have this problem. Would changing to fully synthetic oil help?
Thanks in advance,
