I am after a general run around.
A guy at work has a P reg 328iSE (4 door with all the toys). He has owned it since new. It has done 60K.
Oh and its an auto (yuck!).
What do you guys reckon I should pay for it?

A quick look at autotrader and I'd say between £4500 and £5500 depending on exact spec, colour, leather, etc.. maybe a little more if it's got everything (SE doesn't really add that many options to the standard car) and its minty than a bag of polos

March 2004 Glass's Guide suggests £5700 as a trade in and £7500 dealer retail.

These prices are a bit out of date now.

Maybe £5500, which is probably a smidge more than he'd make if he traded it in?

Pat.

I just parted with my 1997R 328SE Touring. It was absolutely mint with FSH, metallic, climate, roof rails, 16" 10 spoke alloys (unmarked) but high mileage (102k). Advertised it all over the place trying to get £6k for it, in the end I gave in and traded it in to a BMW dealer who gave me £4900.

On the basis of that I wouldn't want to give much more than £5k for one a year older, despite the low mileage.
