Does anybody here have any experience of the BMW 335i? I'm trying to work out what direction I should go for my next car and I really like the coupé version of the 335i
One thing I can't find out at the moment though is what is the difference between the SE and M Sport version? What are they like to live with day to day?
Oh, and a special prize goes to the first comedian who makes reference to a re-mapped 335d

on the 335(i and d), SE has M sport suspension and seats, so the only differences are mainly visual, and nearly all are options on the SE:
Black headling
thicker M sport steering wheel
different bumpers
18" m sport alloys
m sport trim and gear lever
Buying new or used? What sort of miles do you do?
Do consider that AUC low mileage M3's are now down to 30k...

correct.
of more importance to me would be:
BMW warranty - even if only a bit so you can keep it going.
Hi-FI upgrade - standard system (no tweeters in the A pillar by the wing mirrors) is pathetic. Business loudspeaker or Logic7
Media pack/sat nav. Vital for resale and also dash looks much better with it IMHO.
heated seats if it has leather.
This one looks nice?

What shape do you want?
The coupe has a few M Sport style options as standard even in SE form.
M Sport suspension.
Sports seats.
And some other bits.
Beware 19" BMW alloys - a lot have issues with cracking.
Also do your homework on the car itself - 335is are prone to High Pressure Fuel Pump failure and a few others issues.
Cracking cars though.

Took me ages to find a 335d without i-drive (so no central hump)!
Finally managed it - you also get a very useful mobile/keys sized central storage bin missing from i-drive cars. The car still has a nifty computer anyway and I think i-drive just distracts you.
Not to everyone's tastes at all (the leather is actually "browner" is real life) but it suits us well:]

Not had my 335i SE (E92)for very long but its proving to be a fair bit thirstier than I thought it would be round town; this might have something to do with the 17" Dunlop winter tires on it at the moment. The standard run flat tires seem to polarise opinion somewhat; I think they are plain dangerous in cold weather and should be binned at the earliest oportunity, IMHO of course. Ride isn't good around town on 19" Bridgestone run flats and I would try to see if 18" suits you better 'cos it does change the character of the car a lot I think.
It's deceptively quick and there's very little drama whilst it makes some big numbers very quickly; its all a little too easy tbh.
Space in the back is great and getting in / out isn't too gymnastic and I think a glass sunroof does a good job of stopping the darker interiors being too oppressive.

Thank you for posting a written off M3 as a 'point of reference' against Approved Used 335i's.
