22 quid sounds reasonable to me.

I was after some of these myself, but how do you do about painting them?

I would hope that they come in black to match the grill and then just bolt/screw them in. But I suppose you could get a couple of rattle cans and spray them yourself.

Its a 318iS (Dont forget the S )

I think the kit was a dealer fit option.

Thanks btw!

The M body kit wasnt a dealer option.
It was only avail on the 325i (ie the sport version).
A 318is came with 14 inch BBS cross spoke and a nifty little front lip spoiler and a boring rear spoiler.
I had a 1991 model from 93 - 97. It was a fantastic car. Never let me down, no big bills and good fun.
Since then I have had various TVRs and now a P1 Subaru. The 318is still ranks as one of my faves.

Hmmmm..... I know about the cross spokes, but I always thought the kit was an option.

How come mines got the kit then?

I am not 100% certain it wasnt an option. BUT when I got my 318is I was a big 3 series fan and thought I knew everything about them. So I would be suprised if it was an option.
It was an option on the E36 318is model only I think.

Most beemers have been played with as they get older. So there could be lots of reasons. I assume it is an original BMW kit (?) and that someone has fitted it by taking it off another car.

Is the rear apron designed for a double exhaust pipe?

But then again I could be totally wrong.

It is the official BMW kit (I had to replace a bit recently - ££££), and yes the rear apron is for the twin exhaust.

I had ScoobyZoom run a check from the chassis number and Im 95% sure he said it left the factory that way.

Maybe it is a factory option then. Suprises me a little as I had seen very few single exhaust 3 series with the kit back in early 90s and none that had the look of factory fit and/or 318is.
Personally I prefer a 318is as it is meant to look and a 325isport now it is meant to look.
I nearly went for a 327i once - they were pretty damned torquey cars. A chap called Les Stannard used to mate the 320/325 with a 525e long stroke block and for £3.5K you have a 327i. Hartge etc did the same but for a lot more money.
