How much for a 330Ci Sport?

What should I pay for a 01 330Ci Sport?
It must have leather, centre arm rest and would like the HK HiFi. It will be my 3rd BM (other two were both 98 cars, 323 coupe and 328 cab)
It's time to get rid of my 330bhp Impreza STI Type R before I kill myself!
Whilst I know there will be huge difference in power, I do miss the finer points of driving a BM. Is the E46 far superior to the E36? Or are they similar?
My last two BM's were bought from the main dealer, Should I stay with the dealer or go private?

In the last 2-3 yrs I've had a 323 E46 saloon, a 323 E36 Coupe and a 330 E46 Touring (petrol). The first was a company car, the second was from a dealer (not BMW main dealer) and the last was bought privately. I've also had other E36 cars previously.

My personal overall impression is that main difference between the E36 and E46 is that the latter feels a lot better screwed together overall. The 6 cyl engines are consistently good whether it be E36 or E46.

As for where you should buy it, surely the better the car in the first place, the lesser the risk of buying privately? Obviously you need to keep your eyes open throughout the process. I also happen to live 2 miles from a great independent (Munich Motors in Wokingham) for servicing. Just my tuppence worth.

mustard, it's out of my price range. I'm looking at spending 22k max, infact I'd like to stay under 20k. I was actually in the market for a 996 (911) untill a deal went the way of the pear and cost me 37k
Super looking car though!
Not sure if I want to go down the Cab route again, I don't know about the E46, but the E36 cab was sh1te in comparison the coupe.
Though the cab did snap knicker elastic from a 100 yards.
