Smell of fuel when hot?

Hi All,

Just been to Leeds and back, round trip of 125 motorway miles. Noticed a pretty strong smell of the black stuff as I was driving along. The car has just been serviced and nothing was mentioned about a fuel smell - handy cos they stiffed me for new brake discs and pads all around

Any ideas here? Leak in the manifold or fuel line? BTW it's a E36 325 TDS Touring. Economy still seems good as it only used 1/4 of a tank for the trip.

Strangely enough, i just noticed mine smelling of diesel on the way to work this morning, only when standing in traffic. It went when I turned the ventilation to recirculating... and no I wasn't sat behind a big lorry!
