I'm embarrased I don't know the answer to this....but my wife asked me last night.

In Sex in the City...JOKE!

When we bought our car (51 plate) it was sat on 18's. It had the right spec, but I really wanted 19's (let's not get into the driving better on 18's debate now) - so the guy swapped them over from another car for me.

The 18's and 19's were obviously very different designs. But do BMW do an 18 inch wheel that's the same design as the 19 inch?

It's just my wife thinks a car we saw the other day had the same wheels as ours but smaller - and I was about to go "Nnnnduurrr - you know nothing woman" and stick my tongue in my chin at her - and I thought 'Hang on....I don't know you know...'

Thanks.

There are replicas about of the 19" style in 18" size, if you look in one of the "specialist" motoring magazines you'll companies selling replicas of the OEM 19"s (and the 18") in a variety of sizes from 17" to 19" - so that's probably what your wife saw?
