Can anybody recommend anywhere who supply cheap metric tyres (by cheap I mean under £100), there must be somebody out there who knows a company that deal with the endangered species

from what I have read you will be lucky but try Micheldever Tyres I do not know the number but I think they are around the Oxford area but am not sure
is it for a Six?

Your going to be lucky to find anywhere 'cheap' IIRC only Michilein make them and only when they have enough on back order, so finding any in stock anywhere at whatever price is usually hard enough without worrying about price
A mate who had them on a 5 series found it cheaper to replace the wheels with 17" Alpinas complete with new tyres than buy new dodgy metric tyres

Get rid of the metrics and get some imperials. They will last longer, grip better and cost half the price. Trust me it's the best thing you can do.

Yeah I know what you're saying, metrics are pretty poop, I have considered getting a set of imperial wheels and tyres, but I find it difficult to find a style of rim that suits the e28. Alpinas are cool but everbody has got them, unless you are talking about the older black and silver ones, those I would like.
I found Tyres-direct sell metrics for £68 which was a nice discovery, but they are out of stock
