This is more like it

Its got 300 hp ! Special leather trim, improved suspension.

And its £38k.

Not cheap, but good value compared to a loaded up standard Z4.

Very exclusive too ! Not many Alpinas around.

Well I'm tempted. The rear styling doesn't quite work for me, but it's no worse than the Tamora.

The front brakes look too small with those wheels.

BTW - it's 42 for the loaded version with the bits you'd probably want on it.

One other thing I don't like is the BMW badge on the wings - bit OTT.

not so much the looks just didnt like the way it drove (not the alpina in fairness) and not a fan of the seating position.

I thought the Z4 3.0 was alright, but no better.

The Alpina is a LOT more powerful. And by all accounts the steering and suspension is improved.

Reckon it might be worth close examination.

furry muff. I drove the 3 litre and wasnt that impressed. Was a lovely roof down day too to enjoy a cabrio and was bored in about 15 minutes.

from what you say about the steering and suspension, regardless of the additional power (didnt think that was TOO lacking) then it might be a capable car.

Question for Shnozz,

Here's another shot, those wheels in the pic above are terrible, think they're an option to the standard 18" Alpina alloys.
