Fergus, What happened to your stolen/recovered M3? I saw your post on the Bike forum so am I to assume its dead? (RIP)

The police tracked it to a yard in east london, where they broke in and found it partially stripped. They identified it off its VIN #, then left and locked the yard with a police lock. Then due to their TOTAL incompentance, took over 10 days to revisit the yard, only to find the yard had changed hands for cash two days previously and the car had gone - quelle surprise. This only inceases my derision for the met - I've had contact with around 10 PCs in the course of obtaining some knowledge as to the status of my car. I'm now awaiting a response from the insurance company....

Stick with track bikes and crossers I think!

PS what do you want for your 535i? PM me if you like.

OMG

That's sickening, I'm not normally one for Police bashing but that is just awful.

I PM'd you about the 535.

Outrageous I can't believe that they could be so stupid, so now you have to claim and that will then reflect on you premium and you have all the hassles associated.
Are you going to get another M3?

Chippy,

May look at a renault clio V6 or a 964RS. Depends what the cash situation looks like in a month or two. Had an integrale, an E30M3, so I think a 964RS is the next 'classic' car. I'm currently looking for a cheap diesel estate at the mo though!

964RS good choice, what about a 968CS?

very good car - had a ride round the ring in SFV's (porsche forum man) 968 CS which has GT3 front brakes, and was running standard tyres (i.e. not michelin pilot sport cups - which every 964 RS seems to run) and it was astonishing. It was significantly faster than the two 964 RSs I'd had a ride in the same day.

I'm 6'5" and 18 stone, so a 968 is a tad cramped and the steering wheel rake is very low- not much room for knees and legs!

fergus, you would certainly not regret a nice 964RS, but always worth baring in mind that you can just about pick up 2 nice plus one a bit tatty 968CS's for the price of a nice 964RS tho!

I do however have an axe & offer height reduction sevices for a very resonable fee - I do demand the payment before the operation tho

Iggy

Surely Tom @ H&S is knocking them out at from around £25k (once you've taken off 16% Mvst). I thought good M030 968CSs were around 14k? If you could get two (almost 3) 968s for 25k then it may be the way forward. Sold your 340 yet? (not the volvo BTW)

PS I think we've hijacked the bimmer forum!
