My climate is intermittently working.

Anyone experienced intermittent problems?
Occasionally turns itself off for no apparent reason, which is a bit of a problem as I lose all ventilation.
Loose connection?
Any solutions gratefully accepted....

if it is the fan speed going up and down and off and on then it will need a heater resistor easy to fit behind dash in heater area

Very common E36 problem - you can either find the dry joint inside that causes it (not easy!) or buy a new one from the stealers - about £160 I think.

There used to be a guy on ebay who sold recon'd units, but not seen him for a while.

Problem with getting one from a scrappy is that it is likely to have the same fault (I know 3 people with this problem in their E36s)
