Help! Continental headlights for an E36 needed

Hi folks...
can anyone help me with the following... My folks have taken an E36 to France for a long stint and it needs to be registered there. To do this the headlights need to be converted to continental spec. The question is;

1. It is possible to adjust the exisiting lights to dip the other way like you can with modern Porsches? or, if not;
2. Does anyone know how I can get hold of some Euro-spec headlights at reasonable cost ASAP?
