Hi there, I've just got myself a 1989 325i SE , which I love. The paperwork with it says that the SE stands for Special E...is this special edition, special equipment or what? Whats are the differences in spec on an SE? is it trim? suspension? LSD? what?

Many thanks.

SE stands for Special Equipment. AFAIK it means you get leccy sunroof and windows and that kind of stuff.

Ask here Im sure someone will know!

Off hand I think SE spec just means you get a leccy sunroof and metallic paint as standard, there might be a few other small extras as well but nothing mechanical
