E46 M3 Servicing costs

Hi...I'm thinking about buying an E46 M3- Ive had enough of TVR ownership and need a car which is going to start every day as well as go fast!
Anyway....just wondered what the servicing costs are like, as I have heard the service costs for the M5 are huge???

Basically..

First running in service 1200mi free on UK cars

From then on servicing intervals are variable, depending on how the car is driven. BMW quote 15,000 miles but I would expect to get 12,000 miles between each services with a mix of driving conditions.

Oil Service (approx. 12k miles) - £130-£180
then Inspection 1 (approx. 24k) - £500-£600
then Oil Service (approx. 36k) - £130-£180
then Inspection 2 (approx. 48k) - £600-£700

Service costs obviously vary depending on the dealer, ring around a few to get the best price (I just paid £130 for an oil service, in Herts)

(The M5 is actually cheaper at Inspection 1 and 2 but more expensive for Oil Services)

Mind you ....after owning a TCR, there's not a lot that will shock me!

Using the old Subaru turbo at the moment

Intention of finding a low mielage M3(E46) convertible now for as cheap as possible... I was thinking £30 ish for 2 year old....
