325i Sport, advice required

hi guys,

I have just bought myself an E30 325i Sport for track and road use. I have some questions:

1) Any ideas where I can get cheap insurance as a 2nd car? The car will have track mods such as Rollcage.

2) Anyone recommend any buckets & harnesses & fitment? How where and what basically!

3) good places for spares? South London/surrey preferably.

4) do they work well with Optimax?

5) any weight loss tips? (for the car that is!)

Try the BMW Club they usually do insurance deals

remove the sound deadening with a blow tourch and scraper, its the hard black stuff on the floor under the carpets, there is lots of it and it weighs a ton

Have been looking round the car for areas of potential weight saving.

are the following feasible and/or a good idea...?

1) take the rear screen, sunroof and rear passenger windows out and replace them with something like perspex & mastic (a la chassis )

2) remove leccy mirrors and replace with manual.

3) someone told me there are some heavy plates by the brakes that can go too...

ta...
