driven a '95 uk automatic Supra and i must confess it left me unmoved, yes it was fast, yes it got you noticed, but as a driving machine it left me cold, I am a BMW fan, but never had the pleasure of an M3 (have tried 328I) but I reackon thats where my money would be heading, and trying to find a good UK Supra is going to be quite a challenge.

always fancied an E30 M3 Evo LHD still on 16" BBS cross spokes in diamond black or dolphin grey with full leather myself, to my mind the definative 3 series of all time

Test drove both the M3 and the Supra TT. Ended up buying the Supra. To me it looked better, drove better and was faster. Also thought it would prove more reliable too? The M3 didn't feel as taut as the Supra, it didn't brake aswell (IMO, not sure of actual figures but definitely felt that way). The torque delivered by the Supra is heavenly

Only thing is the M3 sounds a lot nicer, and revs higher.

I've got a summary of my ownership costs and my evaluation of the car that kept for 5 years. I think it was a fantastic car, but trying to find one that hasn't been messed about with is more difficult than an M3 due to its tuning potential.

I'd say drive both and see what you think. As far as ownership goes, the details are in my profile. There are many good specialists around now which should reduce the ownership costs even more. Leon Green is one guy who seems very good, really knows his stuff.

Whichever you choose they are both great cars, you'll certainly enjoy! Happy New Year!
