I am very interested in buying one of these, I have had a test drive at the local dealer, but feel that I need more time in the car before comitting that sort of money.
The dealer says that I can have another test drive but only for an hour or so. What I really need is a day or 24 hours to get used to it. They do not let anyone have M cars for this period.
Does anyone know of a hire company or other dealer that will lend/rent me one. I am based near East Midlands airport.

If you're getting a new one, perhaps your dealer will let you once you've ordered the car - you can change the spec right until the last minute (unless you go for Individual).
I'm sure one of the other dealers in the locality will let you have a 24 hr test drive. Find one with an M3 in an odd colour combo or one that's been there a while, they'll be desperate to shift it and will agree to anything
Good idea though, you do need a few hours to get used to it!
