I have just bought a 1997 540 with a bmw in car phone which slots into cradle built into centre arm rest .
does anyone now whever or not this phone can be still used.
trouble is i havent got the sim card which is the old credit card size type.
Any thoughts

But when you buy a SIM card, it is normally held in a "credit" card sized card, which you then break it out off.

You should be able to go to any outlet and ask for a very minor sum of £ to have a SIM card holder in credit card size.

phone will work but only on Vodafone and Cellnet (or whoever they are now)
