BMW service history

Guys, I am on the look at the mo for an e30 325 sport. Going to look at one on sat, phoned the dealer and asked about the sh, and he said 'it's been lost, but you can get a copy from BMW'. Is this dealer BS or does this hold water?

Only holds true if the car has been BMW serviced, then it'll be on their system - barring admin errors.

If you know the reg number send itme i'll check it out for you. However it will only show every time it went in and not what it went in for...

E30's being reasonably old may not have been serviced by BMW everytime. My own E30 has full service history but only about 50% is by BMW.

You can check the full service history (if serviced by BMW). However you will need to know the name of every dealer the car has been serviced by, and then phone each one in turn talking to the service dept. They are usually quite helpfull and will sometimes tell you of other (non service work) they have carried out. Although they are not supposed to.
