Can anyone recommend a good insurer for an e30 325?

The car will be my second car and a limited mileage weekend toy; I understand some companies will match the no claims of the first, main car (A Manning did this for my old tvr)

any comments much appreciated...

Speak to Aon. You might be able to get a classic policy for it. I got one for my Sport Evo.

JakeR,

I've recently purchased an E30 325i as a weekend car - insured it through Lancaster Insurance Services Ltd (www.lancaster-ins.co.uk) They have been excellent. I insured the car under one of their classic policies - available for many cars >10 years old, without transferring my no claims which I still need on my every day car. Fully comprehensive, including European cover, and European roadside assist was around £350 - I'm 32. They also offer agreed valuations for a small surcharge. The people on the phone are always helpful and knowledgable - well worth a try.

Sounds odd, but admiral were by far the cheapest when I had a 325 touring.

Aon are great for classic policies and you can have a number of classic cars on the same policy.

I currently use Admiral, they cover my daily driver BMW 328Ci on which I have full protected no claims , they also cover (on a seperate) policy my weekend car (2001 Boxster 2.7) which they have given me full no claims on, although I can't protect it until I've had the second policy for 1 year. Prices for both are very reasonable (the Beemer is only £350 a year Fully Comp).
