I have a bluetooth prep on an E46 and have noticed that if you are on a call and you finish your journey, switch off the engine, take the phone out the cradle, remove the key, get out the car, etc.

The car hangs on to the call! and you have to get back in to continue it!

is this normal? or correct?

anyone have any ideas?

the phone is a nokia 6310i with the cradle - although that doesn't seem to make any difference.

I have b/t with a 6310i also on my Z4. I have had this as well. According to the manual, you should press the voice button to break the bluetooth mode.

You should also check the software version of your phone - have a look at www.mdload.com/bluetooth/ - this has some excellet FAQ's.

thanks, that FAQ is very interesting.

I will try the button but I am pretty sure it drops the call completely when you do that?

That's my FAQ

I've not used that particular phone, but have you tried pressing the green call button on the handset to take the call back from the car? When I used a T68, that used to work, but it really depends on the phone ..

Your FAQ was very useful as my b/t manual was in German when my Z4 arrived!

I have never tried the "Speak" button, could have misread the manual - will try it tonight when I get home....
