OK, had a quick look last night, but how the hell do you get the steering wheel off on a 318i????

Now I'm guessing a bit here, as I imagine it will depend which wheel is fitted, but pull off something in the middle of the wheel and undo the bloody big nut

I was guessing that aswell, but the only thing in the middle of the wheel is the badge and it does not look very pull offable... there are 4 screws on the back of the wheel in the spokes was going to try them and see what happened first before taking a screw driver to the badge

If it's anything like my renault wheel, those screws will let you take the front of the wheel off to access the nut(s).

In that case, what agent006 said should work. IIRC they might be torx screws ?

Yep, this is what I thought, will give it a go tonight, will be nice to have the wheel straight when driving in a straight line

I had an 1984 e30 with the 4 spoke wheel. I got that off that by prising (sp) the badge out with a small screwdriver to reveal the bloody big nut behind.
