Reverse gear?

Picked up my 318is today. Love it to pieces, just the right amount of power for me, not so powerful to spit me off into the scenery.

Anyway, thats an aside. Ive notice that reverse gear is a bugger to find. It usually ends up in first instead. To get it in, i have to give it a hefty shove.

Am i missing something, or do they all do that sir?

Yes, they need quite a shove. Best way is to knock it with the palm of your hand, push with the right pressure and it goes in smoothly.
