E34 540i - central locking problems - any ideas??

MY E34 has recently stopped unlocking the passanger door with the remote central locking. I can manually open it from the inside and once unlocked, the door does remote lock again with the rest of the doors. Is it an easy thing to investigate or is it a dealer only job?

Can't help on the central locking thing... but...

You posted some time back about aftermarket exhausts for the 540i. Did you ever get one? If so, which one, how much, etc.

Hi marshy. No I never did get one in the end. I did make enquiries but only really found one option. Cant bloody remember who it was now - I'll try and look it up. The guy I spoke too did say it was quite a bit louder though

Sounds a good place to start ken but I am a complete novice at this sort of thing. Could you perhaps give me an idea of what to look for or how to best access it without ruining the rest of the door?
