Anyone tried one of these?

I measured the active filtration area of the standard paper element in my 330 the other day. It's a rather pitiful 210x140mm. By my calculations, a straightforward K&N replacement element would still not flow enough air at higher revs. There don't seem to be many properly engineered (i.e. fully-housed, cold feed) solutions around though.

I thought the likes of Gruppe M, Dinan and BMC all did heatshielded, cold air fed induction kits and that their kit was available for many BMWs?
