Bluetooth phone link on E46
Discussion
Does anyone know how to get the Bluetooth phone kit on an E46 into "pairing" mode?
I'm trying to get a Bluetooth equipped phone (Ericsson T68) paired with the Bluetooth phone receiver in a 3 series. The instructions for doing this in the BMW manual (apart from providing the 4 digit pin code for the car's Bluetooth device) simply say "refer to your phone instructions". However, the instructions for the Ericsson phone say "refer to the instructions for the device to be paired in order to put that device into pairing mode".
Any words of wisdom gratefully received.

OK to pair phone and car do this:
1. Turn off ignition. Hold down "Pair" button (in front of car cradle) and turn on ignition. Let go of button after 2-3 seconds. Car will say "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" on screen
2. On phone, go to menu then browse to Connect -> Bluetooth -> Operation mode choose ON.
3. Then go back to menu and Connect -> Bluetooth -> Discover
3. Enter the four digit code when the phone asks you (this is on the bit of card)
4. You may have to transfer the phonebook manually with the T68. To do this go to Phonebook -> Business Cards -> Send All -> Via Bluetooth.
5. Turn off ignition
All done.
