Brake upgrade

Been doing some research over the last couple of weeks on upgrading my brakes on my 635csi to 850/750 calipers discs and mastercylinder. Has anybody done that or a similar modification to a E28 5 series or E24 6 series and has any relevant advice. Any advice would be reatly apreciated,
