Placed an order for a M3 convertable and will be picking it up in September. I've read a lot in the car magazines regarding tyre choice. Basically 18" vs 19". Has anyone got some nice pictures of the two wheel sizes together so I can see the difference when they're on the car.

Many thanks,
Geoff.

18"

19"

Go for 19" easier to clean and you're just as likely to kerb them

Why don't you get some hartge wheels and be a bit different to everyone else. They are the nicest wheels that can be bought for a BMW although a little pricey.

Wheels on the CSL look the best. I think they are "Work" wheels. I've gone for the 18" because if I do decide to upgrade, I'll go for my choice.

"Tarting" on the 19"s

But the 19"s do scuff and you take chunks out them going over the kerbs.

Cheers everyone.

It seems that my decision has already been made for me. Turns out that the car had been finished, left the factory and was somewhere on a train bound for England. It should arrive on about the 12-15th August. Originally, it should have been delivered on the 17th September, so it was a surprise to see it was coming in so much in advance. The only change we made to an already speced car was to remove the Sat.Nav option.

Can't wait now. Nice to have a car that's got the speed of our old TVR and a nice bit of luxury thrown in.
I can see that I'm going to have to be very careful with the 19" wheels though.
Geoff.
