Tyre of choice for the M5?
Discussion
Probably the best tyre out there at the moment is the replacement for the Pilot Sport, the Pilot Sport PS2 - about £210.
Sounds like a games console, but they have used the experience of their Pilot Sport Cup tyre (the one used on Porsche Cup cars) to develop this new tyre - it looks completely different to the old Pilot Sport.
P-Zero Rosso's are quite good as well, but are equally priced at around £210 each!
I'm quite happy with the Conti-SportContact 2 on my M5 (about £160 for 245/40 18 front and £180 for 275/35 18 rear)

Thanks for the tyre info. The rears are big boys indeed... I have now started thinking of where to get them fitted..
I have always hated the fact that most of the well know retailers tend to shag the alloys wheels whenever I get new rubber... Whether its socket marks in the nut wells or just scuffing the rim.
Any experience of taking them to the dealer? and assuring that a damaged rim = a new rim?
Cheers
