Just trying to guage general opinion.

I was thinking of putting deposit down on one of these with the view to sell it either immediately or shortly after taking delivery for more than I paid for it.

What do you guys think, are they going to be desirable enough to command a premium ?

I placed a deposit on one back in September of last year and I was person number 7 just at that local dealer (and yes, we had to stump up a deposit).
So I would think that with the limited number they will be making for the UK market for 2004, plus the general interest in the new mini, that there will be demand.
My view is that I will probably get to drive around for the summer months and then hopefully get back what i paid for it, I'm not looking to turn a profit, just get some relatively cheap motoring together with a bit of fun.

My local dealer has 20 deposits now so I think demand will be high.

I would be happy to have depreciation proof motoring for 6 months, so I think I will put down a deposit at the weekend.
