E36 Tyres

I need to replace my tyres - I currently have Avons, which were on the car when I bought it. Having problems with tramlining and I nearly lost the back end a couple of times at fairly slow speeds in the wet.

Therefore need a good all-round tyre with reasonable life expectancy!

Any recommendations?
