3 Series. Used to be E36 that covered the range, but:

E90, E91 and E92. Sedan, Touring and Coupe respectively?

Confusing seeing that some suppliers don't even recognise E92.

Not convinced. The spec sheet for my wife's E46 Coupe refers to it as an E47.

Thanks Dave, certainly does help. Giving each model its own code makes better sense; with the E36 there were four different body styles which meant more questions when booking stuff in / out... individual codes (as long as the car owners / operators recognise them) are much better for the trade.
