It's time to change all four tyres and having trawled through previous posts will replace with non-runflats.

Any suggestions? I'm more bothered about durability (cost) and wet weather performance than absolute dry performance.

Don`t you have to change the wheels as well?

What sizes are you running?

The Michelin PS2 get good review, and should last long. Cheaper option is Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, which has been replaced (think they are produced concurrently) by the F1 Asymmetric

I am confused aswell, different people say different things. Some say the rims need to be replaced if going for normal tyres, others say no problem on normal rims.

This sort of thing needs to be right does'nt it, bit late when it all goes t**s up!

I am in the same position, want to change the noisy boots on my 320d M Sport.

Rich.

The wheel rims dont need to be changed as they are of a standard size and type.

Yes, I couldn't see why they needed to be changed...perhaps they were getting confused and thinking of the old metric rims/tyres on older 5-series needing to be changed to go "normal" sizes

I was under the impression that the rims were specific to run-flats with some form of different beading - the dealers certainly give this information!.

I`m more than happy to be wrong though!
