18" rims on a 330i sport
Discussion
I've recently bought a 330i sport saloon and it's arrived with 18" rims armed with 225 tyres on the front and 255 on the rear. I get the impression that this may well be standard sizes.
After several hundred miles with it, have to say that I'm finding the ride more than a little firm (guess I'm getting old). I love the rest of the car, so would prefer to not sell, or fiddle with the suspension.
As such, does make me wonder whether moving to a set of 17" rims with say 225 tyres all round would be a good move.
As it's a downgrade in size and the existing 18" look completely gorgeous, I might even be able to do it as a straight swap for someone wishing for bigger rims.
Any thoughts or experience?

Before you go mad with new wheels can I suggest you play with tyre pressures within sensible and safe limits. The BMW suggested pressures seem very high and can make the ride intolerable (I have 18"ers).
A minor change can make enough difference to make the ride bearable. E.g. Suggested rear tyre pressure for my car are 3.1 bar which is 45 psi! 38 psi tested over long distances feels a lot better.
