Insp I vs Insp II ? ? ?
Discussion
If you've got the service schedule sheet from a previous service, it should be clear to see what's different. Since my car has been out of warranty and so using a local BMW independent specialist for servicing etc., I now miss out the Inspection I and just do Oil Services and Inspection IIs.
I do high mmotorway miles, so basically do Oil Service according to schedule, another Oil Service 'half way' to the Inspection II, then Inspection II (whether it should be I or II), as the Inspection I just doesn't seem good value for money compared to the Inspection II.
Brake Fluid change is meant to be every 2 years regardless of mileage, but personally I think that's a bit of a con for ordinary road-going vehicles - another money spinner for the dealers even if it's hydro-absorbic or whatever the terminology is!
Hope this helps,
