320 diesel and 120 diesel
Discussion
120d: Second generation common-rail diesel engine with aluminium crankcase achieves zero to 62mph in 7.5 seconds (7.6 seconds for five-door) before going on to a top speed of 142mph. Output is 177hp (up 14hp) while peak torque is 350Nm (up 10Nm). Combined fuel consumption is 57.6mpg (improves by 16 per cent) and CO2 emissions are 129g/km (down 15.1 per cent)
Not sure this engine has made it into the 3 series just yet, won't be long though

I really wouldn't bother with a tuning box, get a remap, much better performance with a nice smooth power curve.
Go with someone like DMS and you will get 205bhp and a load more torque, but there maps are hidden, so the only way BMW can tell is if they send teh ecu back to bosch.
Tuning boxes throw up all sorts of errors so they will know you have been using one, not that it really matters, never known any warranty refused because of a remap, why would they it is easy business for them, do the work and bill BMW.
