Just a quick word to thank the guys at Dick Lovett in Bristol. My Z4 service indicator said I needed a brake fluid change - just as I am about to embark on a 2000 mile hoon in Europe. I called last Wednesday, was offered a booking on Friday. Car was returned with new fluid, coolant (apparently this is due in 2 months' time) and a new bonnet catch, together with the obligatory car wash.
Top service, quickly sorted, and I think that £220 was not too bad for a main dealer.
I know Edward Lovett posts here occasionally, he should take this back to the service team and thank them clap

Thanks guys!

Not sure about the price, i got my brake fluid changed on a 3 series coupe at a main dealer and it cost me 40 quid inc vat. inc car wash and hoover.

Not gonna comment about either price because I don't know what they should be charging but if any of my cars ever go into a maindealer they always go in with a notice wrapped around both the service book and tape to the steering wheel: "Please do NOT wash after service!"

I've only used Dick Lovett for parts but found them superb on that front and might give them a try for servicing

Yes they are good. I just got the Z4C back from them after they have spent some time sorting out the aircon on the car.

It had a new loom fitted and also a leak on a valve sorted.

I kindly received a Strut Brace and full tank of fuel to make up for my dissapointment. Which I think just shows that loyalty to a dealer does pay.

If I were to make one criticism and it is only a minor one, the car was returned with a dirty dashboard (they did have to remove it) and there were metai fillings in various places.

I've always found them excellent - my cars are of the older type, and they are always pretty spot on there. Not as expensive as some would think. They get the thumbs up from me and I don't normally like main dealers.

Ive decided to put my 328i Sport in for an Oil Service on the back of this recommendation - I know that they do 4+ scheme for older BMWs so in it goes; this Friday at 8am at £145 all in...

Hopefully, Dick will see this post, and ensure that my car gets super special treatment
