Running Costs E39 BMW M5

Hi there.

I'm new to the forum and would like to ask a few questions regarding the E39 BMW M5 in particular the running costs. I've read a few forums links recently, but everybody's situation is slightly different so here goes.

My current weekly milage is 500 miles.

Car - BMW 325i Sport

Servicing costs between £150 - £200

Fuel consumption between £250-300 month.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting similar running costs to my E30, but need to know roughly what I'm looking at. The other thing I need to mention is that I drive my E30 carefully with respect and return a figure of 25 - 30+ mpg.

did you get anywhere with estabishing real world running costs?

I occasionally hanker after 'opting out' and getting a 3yr old M5 rather than a new 335i so would be interest to hear
