Interested in this one, can anyone tell me, does this have the 5 or 6 speed box and is it a possible vanos nightmare?

Looks very nice, 5 speed I think, could be wrong. Not an Evo so much more robust, pre vanos worries.

Looks very nice. All 3.0 E36 M3's were 5 speed and don't suffer the same Vanos trouble as the 3.2 Evo's

I owned a 95 pre Evo saloon for a couple of years 97-99 and it was a blast. All 5 speed and no vanos.

Great car although plenty to still go wrong at great cost, buy carefully

They seem to go from £4-£9k at the moment and I am in two minds whether the best buy is the cheapest with cash left in pocket or the best with say a FBMWSH....some of the £7-8k ers sit uncomfortably in between
