330ci rear tyres

I've got a 2000 330ci, the rear tyres are 245/40/17 and are about done (umm.. oops) I happen to have a set of 255/40/17 goodyear eagles in the garage that are virtually brand new.
Are there likely to be any problems with fitting the bigger rubber? I know the 18s on these had 255s on them, but they may have a different offset?

Basically I'm cheap and a new pair of contis are going to be about £300, which is a lot when i could pay £20 for fitting!

on the z3 i put 255 on the rears of my 17's no probs at all. i've 255 on the 330 but there on 18's . still can't see a reason why you'd have a prob with it
