E34 rear spring replacement

One of the springs on my e34 535 has snapped, only right at the bottom so no real biggie.
I want to get them replaced, my locel garage is quoting about £300 to replace both, including £78ish per spring. Now i can get the springs from GSF parts for £30 each. Is my garage trying to screw me??
Does anyone know how easy a job this is to do at home? Bearing in mind i don't have access to a garage.
