E39 rear door card removal

The central locking on the o/s rear door does not work. I have had a go a removing the door card, but I can't work it out . I have un-popped the outer edge of the card but it is still attached somehow in the middle, as I can't find the fixing screws on the interior door handles (are there any?)

I'd also like to know the answer.

I have a similar problem in that the two rear doors and tailgate operate intermittantly from the remote.

When the car is locked it can take 10-20 open/close operations on the remote to open all 5 solenoids on my E39 tourer.

I've got the exact same problem, but on the drivers door - which as you can imagine is a major PITA.

Assuming you have removed all screws and its away from the poppers and the top scraper seal(pull)then try pulling the panel upwards-its held by a big clip in the center.
Once its off,unhook the handle.
Then you need to take the plastic piece off of the clip on the door panel and put it back on the door card-then when fitting the card back on you just push/bang back on.
