I've been told that the cd changer in the boot of a 1995 740 wont play copied cd's. Is this tue? Is there any way round it, a different reader for example, as all of my music is in mp3, and burnt onto disk as required.

What would be the financial implications of changing it?

Any advice would be appreciated..

The Cd changer is old hat and plays very few copied CDs CD R,no CD RW and definately not MP3.
You can buy changers to suite your needs from any good ICE company.Prices vairy, normally £200+

Out of interest (my brothers Jag cd player wont play copied CDs), what type of disks are you using?

May be worth a shot.

Also, all of the 1994-96 7 series I have seen have several missing pixels in the lcd displays, notably on the air-con windows, to the extent it looks like braille and is totally unreadable. Its not a massive concern as long as it works, but is there any method of getting it fixed/improved?

Many thanks
