Yes it is indeed Aspen Silver and has Aubergine Leather interior which works really well with the silver colour

Can you tell me - does the leather extend to the centre console etc? I've been looking for an E39 540i Touring for a while now and want one with hide that matches up to the extended leather in my E34 (which is swathed in the stuff, and very fine it is too). But apart from the odd M5, I've not seen any E39s specced with different leather, let alone covering the other touch points.

The leather is just the seats and door cards the centre console is mostly taken up with the OBC or the wood trim which is also round the gear lever.

Well spotted - the owner i bought it off had the lights and wheels changed (and i think the kidney grille aswell) - would have been something i would have done anyway so saved me the trouble.

There's a pic of mine on my profile - Aspen Silver Tourer, just turned 211,000 miles, spend 3 hours a day in it and I love it to bits.

I really do need to treat it to some wax polish .... or leave it with Derin for a couple of weeks and hope he takes pity on it

Once I've cleared the decks a little here (i.e sell a couple of my own) you're welcome to leave any of your fleet here Burriana...I won't be buying anything new myself for the forseeable future so my polishers will otherwise be lying idle and I'll be getting bored.



Having said that the current buyer for the E28 is now dicking me around so much I'm on the cusp of pulling the plug on him! One more false move and it's: "A cheque for your deposit is in the post! Car will go to a proper BMW enthusiast".

Anyway...Aspen is a stunning colour when it's really polished! One of my favs. And it looks really great with those updated lights. My E39 is in Oxford Green...I don't think it would look as good as that Aspen one with updated lights?

Very nice, I bet it flies! My 535 is fairly quick but the 4.4 must be ultra quick!
E39's look so much better with those headlights rather than the orginal items which look crap and are out-shone by Halfords BMX lights!
Will be upgrading mine (rears as well) very soon
